Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization – Application to Sport Performance & Rehabilitation
Saturday, May 21
10:30am-12:30pm
SPEAKER: Michael Rintala DC
Dr. Rintala will be presenting and workshopping Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) concepts and principles.
* DNS is based on the scientific principles of developmental kinesiology (DK) i.e., the neurophysiological aspects of the maturing locomotor system, which describes in detail motor development of the child. This knowledge shows how physiological movement and motor patterns start and how to facilitate and reproduce them in order to enhance performance and avoid injury
* DNS includes both a knowledge and theoretical base, in addition
to specific Assessments, Manual treatments, Active exercises and
functional strategies to integrate them into movement
efficiency.
