Waiver Alert 9/23/20
Board of Chiropractic Examiners
The Board of
Chiropractic Examiners (BCE) announced a new
waiver that took effect on Wednesday, September
23. Stated in the release is the news that distance
learning so long as it is synchronous and interactive, for
example a webinar with a live speaker, will now count as live
continuing education. Regarding the previous waiver that extended
the deadline to February, 28, 2021, for those who had initial
deadlines in March through October, we are hearing that there
will very likely NOT be another extension.
If you have a deadline in November – January, it’s time to
tap into some of this new CE fast. You can check our our LIVE CE
offerings by going to calchiro.ce21.com, clicking
MEDIA TYPES on the left-hand side and then
clicking WEBINARS. Please make sure that the
program you are viewing lists “ Interactive Video
Conference CE” in the CREDITS tab.

PAST Waiver Information for Continuing Education Requirements Regarding COVID-19
On March 30, 2020 Governor Newsom issued Executive Order N-39-20, authorizing the Director of the Department of Consumer Affairs (DCA) to waive any of the professional licensing requirements relating to healing arts licensees in Division 2 of the Business and Professions Code, and any accompanying regulations. This includes, but is not limited to, the examination, education, experience, and training requirements necessary to obtain and maintain licensure, and requirements governing the practice and permissible activities for licensees.
There are currently two waivers in place directly affecting the renewal requirements for licensees:
