An Update on Partnership Health Plan
Partnership Health Plan, a Medi-Cal managed care plan covering members in 14 counties in Northern California, recently announced changes effective May 1st to their chiropractic coverage guidelines. Treatment authorization requests are no longer required to receive chiropractic services. All areas of the spine are now included, dropping a previous restriction on cervical spine treatment. Chiropractic x-rays of the spine are also now included and can be billed as clinically necessary but no more than once every 6 months. In those counties where beneficiaries have a capitated plan, referral authorizations from the PCP are still required.
