Keynote Speakers Announced for Fall 2019 Conference – Napa Valley

Sherry McAllister, DC, MS (Ed) CCSP, serves as the Executive Vice President for the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress, the national not-for-profit organization creating positive press for Chiropractic.

Dr. McAllister earned her Masters in Education from the University of California East Bay and is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where she served as an Associate Professor. Recently appointed to Forbes Non-Profit Council.

She is a frequent guest speaker for National conventions, Corporate Wellness Programs, as well as Business and Healthcare Alliances.

Dr. McAllister has served as a Qualified Medical Examiner, Expert Chiropractic Witness for the State of California, and has been in private practice in San Jose since 1996.

Dr. McAllister will speak on Saturday, November 23.

 

William Meeker, DC, MPH, FPAC, President, Palmer West Campus, received his B.A. in political science from Wabash College in 1973, his doctor of chiropractic degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic’s West campus in 1982, and his Master of Public Health from San Jose State University in 1988. After serving 12 years as the vice president for research at Palmer and as director of the Palmer Center for Chiropractic Research, Dr. Meeker was appointed president of the Palmer West campus in San Jose, Calif., in 2007.

He was a member of the National Advisory Council of the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine at NIH, and the Governing Council of the American Public Health Association. Currently, he’s on the boards of the Academic Consortium for Complementary and Alternative Health Care, the Foundation for Chiropractic Progress and the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine. He serves on the editorial boards of The Spine Journal, the Journal of Manipulative and Physiological Therapeutics, Explore, The International Journal of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork, and others.

In his 35 years in the profession, Dr. Meeker has published more than 50 peer-reviewed papers, books and book chapters, and has made more than 100 scientific and policy presentations to multidisciplinary audiences around the world. He was named a Fellow in the Palmer Academy of Chiropractic in 1995.
