CMS recently released the Final Rule on the 2019 Quality Payment Program, which includes the Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). To be excluded from MIPS in 2019, clinicians including Doctors of Chiropractic need to meet one or more of the following three criterion: 1. Have less than or equal to $90K in Part B allowed charges for covered professional services; 2. Provide care to less than or equal to 200 Part B enrolled beneficiaries; OR 3. Provide less than or equal to 200 covered professional services under the Physician Fee Schedule. Meeting at least one of these criteria will exclude you from mandatory reporting under the MIPS program. We anticipate that the vast majority of chiropractic offices will be exempt from reporting in 2019. You can find more information below.
