Face Mask Update
January 21, 2022

California’s indoor facemask mandate remains in place through February 15 for all individuals, including employees. As a reminder, all employers are required to provide facemasks to employees when requested, regardless of vaccination status. Furthermore, LA County employers will have to provide employees working indoors with “high quality” masks such as KN95 or N95 masks. This requirement is effective January 17, 2022.


OSHA to Require Employers with 100+ Employees to Ensure Workers are Vaccinated or Tested Weekly

On September 9, 2021, the Biden administration announced a new plan to combat the ongoing coronavirus pandemic in the United States. A critical component of that plan calls on the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) to develop and implement a new emergency temporary standard (ETS) to require employers with more than 100 employees to require that their employees are either fully vaccinated or subject to COVID-19 testing at least once per week.

Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Update about Chiropractic Clinics

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) announced earlier this week in updated guidance, that healthcare employers, including chiropractors, are required by a new six-month emergency rule to implement pandemic protection plans in their clinics or workplaces. The OSHA Emergency Temporary Standard (ETS) is aimed at protecting workers where suspected or confirmed COVID-19 patients are treated.

The California Department of Public Health released a new state public health officer order that goes into effect on June 15. The order replaces the previous pandemic public health orders with limited requirements related to face coverings and mega events, as well as settings with children and youth pending an expected update later this m


California Will Align with CDC Mask Guidelines Upon Reopening June 15
June 10, 2021

“Fully vaccinated people can resume everyday activities without wearing a mask except in a few limited settings that are required by federal and now state rules,” said Chief Health Officer Doctor Mark Ghaly. “Individuals who are not fully vaccinated must continue to wear masks in indoor public settings.”

The “limited settings” requiring masks regardless of vaccination status include healthcare and correctional facilities, public transportation, homeless and emergency shelters, cooling centers and indoors at schools.​
