Californians to Protect Chiropractic Patient Rights (C2PCPR) is a political action committee sponsored by the California Chiropractic Association. Help CCA fight a potential ballot initiative that would allow the Legislature to amend the Chiropractic Initiative Act by a simple majority vote, putting at risk the practice rights of doctors of chiropractic and the chiropractic services available to patients

Californians to Protect Chiropractic Patient Rights Committee provides financial support to pro-chiropractic propositions, specific legislation, and other non-candidate related issues.

As we all know, there are several organizations willing to promote any information that could be construed as negative about doctors of chiropractic and the chiropractic profession.   For CCA to further impact public policy in a positive way, we must actively and accurately portray all that is positive about the profession of chiropractic. Therefore, a portion of the CCA-IPAC onies will fund a periodic newsletter for distribution to legislators and other targeted audiences six times per year. The newsletter will focus on scientific research, cost effectiveness and how chiropractic is making a difference in local communities. Primary distribution of the newsletter will include legislators, legislative staff, officials in the Governor's office, and at the state Department of Health Services, Department of Consumer Affairs, Department of Managed Care, Department of Insurance, Board of Chiropractic Examiners, key reporters, and CCA Key Doctors.

There is no annual donation limit for Californians to Protect Chiropractic Patient Rights Committee contributions from individuals and companies.

California Chiropractic Association Candidate Political Action Committee (CCPAC)

The purpose of CCA's bipartisan Political Action Committee is to help elect state legislators who are pro-chiropractic. Organized medicine, managed care organizations and other anti-chiropractic forces continue to spend hundreds of thousands of dollars each year to elect candidates that do not value the chiropractic profession. We are facing an election in November and thus, have a great opportunity to support pro-chiropractic candidates. CCPAC also provides ongoing support to pro-chiropractic legislators.

The annual CCA-PAC donation limit from individuals and companies is $5,300 annually.

Why should you contribute to C2PCPR or CCPAC?

No one doctor of chiropractic can raise the kind of money necessary to shape the political process in California. To be effectual, this must be a community effort. When you combine your resources with other local doctors of chiropractic through the CCPAC and/or the Californians to Protect Chiropractic Patient Rights Committee, you become part of a high-powered statewide effort to elect candidates and promote policymaking that supports the profession of chiropractic. As sympathetic lawmakers are elected and positive information is provided to policymakers, CCA gains even more credibility and effectiveness. Remember, no contribution is too small!

Become part of the solution! CCA makes it easy to donate to the CCPAC and/or to C2PCPR. CCA can accept “one-time” donations from you or can conveniently set up an automatic monthly contribution from your credit or debit card. Stand behind your profession and donate today!
