GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT

The primary objective of the CCA Governmental Affairs Department is the promotion of proactive legislation and regulatory efforts benefiting the chiropractic profession and its patients and to defend against intrusions into the practice rights of doctors of chiropractic and the negative impact those infringements would have on chiropractic patients. CCA represents the chiropractic profession before the California Legislature; California Constitutional officers, e.g., governor, insurance commission, etc.; and regulatory agencies such as the state Board of Chiropractic Examiners, state Radiologic Health Branch, and state Department of Managed Health Care, among others. The department oversees the CCA Legislative Committee.
