About CCA

Vision

Doctors of chiropractic as the providers of first choice for wellness and the optimization of health.

Established in 1928, the California Chiropractic Association (CCA) is a Sacramento-based statewide, nonprofit organization of chiropractic doctors and allied industries. CCA is comprised of 30 districts and three student chapters. CCA is governed by a board of directors elected by members.

Mission

Promoting high standards of professionalism and patient care through education, advocacy and accountability.

In aggressively pursuing its mission, CCA provides members boundless services and programs designed to effectively represent chiropractic doctors before state government, communicate to chiropractic doctors the latest clinical and governmental news affecting their practices and patients, offer products and services through endorsed partners and others to positively impact patient treatment and the bottom line, and enhance the public's knowledge of benefits of chiropractic treatment.

Identity Statement

The chiropractor is the primary care professional for spinal health and well-being.

CCA Core Values

The CCA represents and respects each California Doctor of Chiropractic and student. We accept their practice style provided that they act within the scope of the law with our goal of creating and sustaining a strong unified voice and profession. Furthermore, we take the responsibility to mentor and teach our fellow Chiropractors and students successful practice and leadership principles within our profession and communities.

We are passionately committed to the advancement of Chiropractic and to the individual's holistic well being. We recognize the Vertebral Subluxation Complex and its negative effect on health. By assisting in the prevention, detection and correction of subluxations, the expression of the innate recuperative power of the body is optimized, without the use of drugs, surgery or other invasive procedures.

We recognize that the practice of Chiropractic focuses on the relationship between structure (primarily the spine) and function (as coordinated by the neural system) and the role of that relationship in the restoration and promotion of health and well-being.

We emphatically insist upon intellectual honesty, scientific and academic excellence, ethical practice and the adherence of integrity in serving the individual, the community and the profession.
